West African coastline

Built from a deep love of West Africa and a belief in what it deserves.

We are a hospitality intelligence group — operator, advisor, and experience designer — dedicated to raising the standard of boutique hotel ownership and guest experience across the region.

Where the name comes from.

“Akwaaba” is the Akan word for welcome — and welcome is not just a word here. It is a worldview. A culture of open doors, generous tables, and unhurried presence that has defined West African hospitality for centuries.

Akwaaba Stays was founded to translate that spirit into world-class boutique hotel management. We saw a region full of extraordinary properties with the warmth, the beauty, and the story — but often without the operational infrastructure, the strategic clarity, or the revenue intelligence to reach their full potential. We exist to close that gap. To bring the tools of modern hospitality management to assets that deserve them, and to ensure that when guests arrive in Ghana or Senegal, what awaits them is not just good — it is unforgettable.

Akwaaba

The Akan word for welcome. A culture, not just a name.

Four ways we work.

Four principles we never compromise on.

Asset-First Thinking

We treat every property as the investment it is. Our work is guided by data, long-term thinking, and a commitment to protecting and growing owner value.

Cultural Authenticity

We never sacrifice character for convention. Every experience we build is anchored in the real culture, history, and community of its location.

Operational Excellence

Warmth without systems is charm without reliability. We build the processes, the training, and the accountability frameworks that make excellence repeatable.

Long-Term Partnership

We are not service providers — we are partners. Our model is built on enduring relationships with owners, investors, governments, and guests.

Four properties. One standard.

We currently operate and advise across four boutique properties in Ghana and Senegal — Chateau Nana Willine in Accra, KoSa Beach Resort in Elmina, Oasis Beach Resort in Cape Coast, and Medinah Baye Residence in Kaolack — with a growing pipeline across the ECOWAS region.
